When God Says NO

How strong is your faith when God says NO? After all He is God!!

We're taught to have faith, to believe and to fight the evil one's oppression, but still God is God.

So what does happen when God says no and you lose that job or that house or that marriage or that loved one or that ballgame or that friend or even that dream?

To begin with we have to accept the outcome. God is still on His throne and is still in control. Nothing happens that He doesn't know about, and who are we to question Him? Romans 9:17 says, "I have appointed you for the very purpose of displaying my power in you and to spread my fame throughout the earth."

Isaiah 55:8-9 says, ""My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.""

For everything there is a season (Eccl. 3:1-8) and there's a purpose and a plan for everything.

We don't always understand and we don't always know "WHY". Someday we'll know. "........people can not see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end." (Ecclesiastes 3:11b) Someday we'll realize and see how all the pieces fit together to make God's grand plan.

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." (Romans 8:28)

Marvin and I choose to continually search out God, to learn of His plans for us, and to carry out that plan to the best of our ability.

During this season of Thanksgiving, let's choose to trust God in all areas of our lives. Through the good and the bad, we choose to give Him the thanks that He deserves in all things. "Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." (I Thessalonians 5:18)

For right now, this minute of this day we are where we need to be to bring Glory to the Lord.

Shalom..............Diana and Marvin
