Don't Lose Your Vision
Habakkuk 2:3 says, “But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” (NLV)
We’ve talked before about the fact that God’s timing is not our timing. Just as we see in this verse, God has a plan for our lives that may not happen right away, but steadily it approaches. He’s even kind enough to prepare our impatient selves to realize that it will happen at His appointed time and will NOT be delayed!
What a comfort to know that God is always on time! The problem we have is it’s seldom on our own time table, but what do we know?
It’s the waiting part that’s difficult, but if we truly want to give God the glory and respect He deserves we have to be prepared to exercise our faith and confidence in Him by waiting on Him.
What kind of example or testimony in our daily lives would it be for us or for unbelievers if God didn’t display His power before us and if we weren’t required to exercise our faith?
As fellow believers we should all encourage one another in the faith that His promises are real and that God is just waiting for His proper time to bless us! We all know it is the waiting that is the hard part and yet it is the most important part.
Galatians 6:9 (NLT), says “….not to get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.”
Have you been struggling with a few things in life that you’ve been waiting to hear about from God? I suspect our timing is seldom God’s timing but I also know that those are the times to put to work our faith in Him, stand firm and, “….wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” Shalom……Diana and Marvin
